I have the following information -
William F Becker was born 1839 in Maryland (according to the census listing for the children still living with Mary). William is NOT listed in the 1880 census with Mary. But that Census DOES list her as "married." His son Omer's listing for the 1880 Census shows William's birthplace as Ohio. His son Henry's listing for the 1880 Census shows William's birthplace as Pennsylvania
William married Mary M Johnson, daughter of Aaron K Johnson and Catherine Hicks, on 26 Aug 1869. Mary was born 28 Oct 1851 in Hagarstown, Washington, Maryland. She died 20 Apr 1948.
They had the following children:
Henry Becker was born about 1871 in Kansas (according to the census).
Omer Salvester Becker was born 2 Nov 1872 and died 12 Sep 1934.
George Becker was born about 1875 in Kansas.
Charles Becker was bornabout 1877 in Illinois.
Omer Salvester Becker was born Nov 1872 in Kansas. He died 12 Sep 1934.
Omer married Lily Grace Mansfield, daughter of Jacob Mansfield and Mary Margaret Devenport, on 24 Jan 1894 in Deland, Piatt, Illinois. Lily was born 27 Jun 1873 in Deland, Piatt, Illinois. She died 26 Mar 1938 in Moweaqua, Christian, Illinois.
My sources are the 1880 Census and family sources.
If this is your family, do you have more information than I have? Specifically, my great aunt and uncle (he's a Becker) would like to know what happened to William F in his later life. He apparently abandoned his family.
