We know there is a Jeffrey Beck, born eighteen ten in SC, who lived in Rome, and then moved to Tishomingo, Miss., by the eighteen fifty census, near a grandson of Jesse Beck--my ggg-grandpa Thomas.
A descendent of that Jeffrey from Rome, Ga., and one of Jesse's took DNA tests not too long ago with the result that we now know they are from the same family within six to eight generations. Problem is, we don't know where the link comes in because Jesse's line was never in SC, so we think it likely he's from the half-brother Jeffrey's line who was in SC, or perhaps another brother John.
We recently discovered there was a Jesse and a William Beck in Floyd after Jeffrey left for Miss. Do you know anything about them?
What is your line of descent?
Have you ever talked to Floy Brent who is from the Rome line?
Please write back. Floy--from Rome Jeffrey, another Beck cousin--from SC Jeffrey, and I--from Jesse have been trying to tie the Floyd County Beck family in and it would be great if you wanted to join us.
