Your John's father was also named John, I believe, and the elder John had a brother named Enoch. Enoch was the father of Mary Bebout Fritts, my gggrandmother. I found that your John was named John Alexander and was born in July 1847 in Crittenden County. He died May 1917 and is buried in the Love Cemetery. I have that John A. and Henrietta Carlene had three children: Rufus R., Enoch F. and Thomas N. Hope this helps.
