I'm trying to find the parents of my gr-gr-gr-grandfather Rev. Asa P. BEEBE. According to tradition Asa came south when he was 14 years old from the New England states. His first wife is unknown, but two sons were the product of that marriage; Hiram BEEBE, born 15 June 1837 in LA and William M. BEEBE, Sr., born 6 Mar 1845 Natchitoches Parish, LA. Asa was born around 1805 according to census reports in either Mississippi, New York, Connecticutt or Illinois, if the information was reported correctly. On 26 Dec 1850 he married (Marie Celeste) Sarah Rocheteau in Natchitoches Parish, LA. Their children were Thomas BEEBE, born 4 Jun 1849 (presumed son of Sarah from previous marriage who adopted Beebe name); Amos 'Budd' born 4 May 1854; Susan born 1856; Orilyear, birth unknown; Celey 'Sela born 23 Aug 1861 [all in Natchitoches Parish, LA and Sarah Elizabeth BEEBE born 14 Oct 1868 in Rapides Parish, LA.
I would love to compare notes and share information with anyone researching this family. I do have some additional information.
