Bebee Family Genealogy Forum
My name is Daniel Sapia, and I'm researching the Bebee Family. I have very little information on this family. In fact I have only one name. My great great grandmother's name was Petronille Bebee, I don't have a date of birth, marriage nor death on her, but the time span of her life would be right around the time of your "Bebee". Judging from stories from my old aunts, Her father was cheif of his tribe, and probably lived around Biloxi, Mississippi. She and my great great grandfather, <Louis Francois Sapia> were married. They had seven children, and the oldest that I could find a birth record on, is; Louis Sapia Jr. born in 1840, in Raceland Louisiana. Her other children were; Evelie - born in Raceland; Marie - married twice - 1st to Trassimous Clement Henry on June 30, 1860, in Raceland, and 2nd to George Lay, May 15, 1871; Augustin David - born November 4, 1848 in Raceland; Henry (My great grandfather) - born in 1849 in Raceland; Jerome Joseph - born December 21, 1854; and James (No bd md or dd). Petronille and Louis are buried in the old Catholic Cemetery in Lockport, which in the early 1900, flooded, and is now Lake Fields.
If I should happen to come upon a match for your Bebee, I'll be sure to pass it on to you, and likewise, I would appriciate you sharing whatever information you can, with me. Keep in touch. Daniel
