I am new to this and got interested when I heard of a Beavis family reunion in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada this coming summer. I know my great grandfather Robert Isiah Beavis came to Canada during the Potatoe Famine in Ireland. He married Annie Suckley from England when he came to Ontario. My grandfather Robert James Beavis was one of four childern I believe. My grandfather was a fiesty old fellow that walked away from his family when they arrived in Canada. Some sort of dispute I have no idea what is was about. I know his brother's names where Arthur and Bruce, he also had a sister but I am unsure of her name. My grandfather was born October 11, 1912. He married my grandmother Bernadette Guerin in Peterborogh Ontario. My grandmother was born May 31, 1913.
I know of a son born out of wedlock in England during the second world war, he has Beavis as his last name but that is all I know.
Like I said I hope to learn alot more about the family when we attend the family reunion this summer. My Grandparents had two boys my uncle Terry born in December in 1032 or 1933 and my father Vernon Arthur born November 3, 1934. Sincerely Patricia Waddell
