Richard:Sorry this has taken so long. I attempted to reply several days ago and had problems with locating your GenForum message. Regarding Raleigh Clack. I suggest that you contact Edith Clack on the Clack Family Forum. She is quite knowledgeable on the Clack line. As you probably know, there were several men named Raleigh Clack. I am pretty sure that one of Spencer Clack's children was named Raleigh.
I am not aware of any other Clack family members who settled in Sevier County, TN with Spencer and John. The Beaver family inter-married with the Clacks and some of them also moved west to Giles County when John Clack relocated his family there around 1813 approx. 7 miles west of Pulaski, the county seat.
I spend most of my time trying to connect Quinton Rice (who married Frances Clack, John's daughter)with his parents who supposedly were located in Virginia. The Clacks have had to take a "back seat" in my research. My sources for the Clack line came from "Mrs. Bond's Kinship Book" (Octavia Zollicofer Bond)and from William C. Harlee's Book(which is not well respected by several Clack researchers)"Kinfolks".
I am surprised about Raleigh's son, Micajah being born in Wayne Co., KY, however, John and Spencer Clack moved quite often from their Northern Virginia home. They were practicing law in Henry County when John married Frances Standifer. I believe that is where several of their children were born.
Good hunting!
