Alsey Beavers married Francis Godwin I believe in 1833. Francis Godwin had previously been married to Barnabus Godwin. He died around 1829. Much of the information can be found at the rootsweb site. Frances maiden name was Pope. My great-grandfather Elbert Beavers death certificate indicates his mother was Frances Pope and father Alsey Beavers. The 1850 Cass county census shows Alsey and Frances living near her son Henry K. Godwin. William Beavers from one of Alsey's previous marriages, perhaps Nancy West is working as a laborer for Henry Godwin. William Beavers is 19 and Henry Godwin is 30. Anyway, I thought researchers of these people might be interested. Still have not been able to find when and where Alsey and Frances died. Last were seen on the 1860 Blount County Alabama census.
