Hello Leah:
I am the administrator for the Beaver(s) DNA Surname Project. As such, I work with a great number of Beaver(s) families not related to my own, although your line may have some connection to mine.
My ealiest known ancestor is William Beaver(s) (ca. 1735 - ca. 1810).William documents at least four of his children through gifts of land in Caswell Co, NC, including my 4th G Grandfather, Johnston Beaver.Johnston moved from Caswell Co, NC to Georgia, where his name morphed into Johnson Beavers.
Another son of William named through a gift of land was Jeremiah Beaver, who was also a Revolutionary Patriot. His Pension Application gives us tremendous insight to the family origins in Amelia Co, VA.We know Johnston and Jeremiah are brothers, as the DNA of a descendant of Jeremiah is identical to the DNA of myself.
I am very interested in exploring the possible connection of the Reverend Hezikiah David Beaver to my own family.Of course, as a Beaver(s) researcher at large, I would like to find his family, regardles as to whether it is connected to my own.
Most of my time is spent on the Beaver(s) Genealogy Discussion Group, which was established to improve communication between DNA participants or any researchers interested in our findings. If you give me an e-mail address, I can add you to our conversations.
I am looking forward to working with you.
