OH Beaver's connected with Overton's? Please Help!
Hi, I am trying to find out if anyone knows of a connection from Beaver's in Ohio to Overton's, specifically looking for a marriage between a female Beaver to an Overton male from Illinois, and possibly married there? One of our Overton line was in a Beaver household( I or J. N. Beaver, wife Ruana, Daughter Ella, son Romanus, in the 1860 census), He is Will Overton age 10 and from Illinois living with them. In that same county, there are other Beaver families with the same names as in our Overton family, so I am trying to find out if they are related. Will's father could have married a Beaver female. Or one of the other Beaver's in the same county(Champaign, OH)-David married to a Fanny, maybe Fanny was a sister or brother to Will's dad or mom. We are at such a dead end that we are trying all avenues. Supposedly Will's father died, and his mother had too many kids to take care of, so she farmed them out to friends and relatives. Hence, The I or J. N. Beaver family could be related to Will Overton. We don't know who his parents are, but his mother was from Ohio. This Beaver family kind of disappears from then on. I can't find them in any subsequent censuses except Romanu, who shows up later in the 1910 census. Can anyone help me?
Thanks so much! Becky
