I am researching the BIVANS family from Franklin County, Ohio, settling in Polk County, Iowa. William and Mary Bivans moved from Franklin County, Ohio, to Polk, Iowa in 1854. They had three sons: Henry, Joe, and John "Jack". There are many gaps in this family tree. Would love to hear from anyone who can help me put the leaves back on the branches!!! It is believed that the name was originally Bivens or Bevans, but was I have found no record of William or Mary prior to 1854, but assume Jack Bivans was married to Julia Hammer, January 1, 1855, and to them Thomas is my great-grandfather. He married Mary Ann Gaines, daughter Walter is my grandfather. William's family is believed to have originated in Wales. Would really like Any information would be appreciated.
