Mary Ann is a connecting family of the Mattingly's and I have only been given what little I have. The research was not my own so have no evidence, but what I've been told is that Mary Ann was a daughter of Edward Beaven and Eleanor Wheeler. The connection is rather indirect; seems Leonard Hamilton, Jr. had a couple of sisters, Henrietta for one, that married a Spalding who was a Mattingly descendant.
