Does anyone know the identity of John Ford that married Oct 15, 1778 Elizabeth BEAVIS in Baltimore Co, MD. He received a bill of divorcement just 3 shorts later. Maybe he didn't know she had been married before so was allowed a divorce.
John, m. by 14 Jan. 1779, Elizabeth, former wife of John Beaven (BALR WG#E:90). [This deed is a bill of divorcement between John Ford and wife Elizabeth, giving her full power to marry again, and to recover all debts of her former husband. The grounds for divorce were " sundry disputes, quarrels and animosities."].
Is this Elizabeth FREEMAN that married John BEAVEN in Baltimore October 05, 1760? (Two divorces! She was living two centuries too early!)
Does anyone know who John Ford married next?
