I am having difficuly finding out how my Beauvais fit into the group that is located in Highgate Vermont. Jean Jacob Beauvais was the son of Joseph Beauvais. Jean-Jacob married Philomena Duseau around 1850. The families were originally from Henryville, Iberville Quebec. The family immigrated to Highgate Vermont in the 1850s. Jean-Jacob and Philomena had a daughter Phoebe who married Louis-Alexander Lemelin dit Lehman 6 Feb. 1871 at St-Sebastien, Highgate Vermont. Then between the years of 1873-1875 the couple had a few children in Worcester Mass. By the year 1877 the family had settled in Bear Creek, Outagamie County Wisconsin.
