Hi Sally

I have seen a few of your messages on the Beauvais Family and the fact that you are seeking information for your daughter.
My wife is a Beauvais decendant. She decends from Joseph X. Beauvais the first one from France in her family.
His father was Jacques Beauvais and they were from Champagnole, France to Chambly, Quebec.
Your are either from this family or the other Beauvais Family that came into Quebec and settled around the Montreal area. The first Beauvais from this family came to Quebec about 100 years before my wife's Joseph.
Because you mentioned New York as the place of birth for your Henry John son of John (joseph) Beauvais then I would say that you are from the family that settled in the Montreal area.
Please email me directly with as much information on your family, your grandfather (grandmother also), your great grandparents, dates, where they lived, and anything else that you can think of.
If it appears that they are not my wife's side then I will refer you to Jeanne Beauvais who is a decendant of Jacques Beauvais the one that settled around Montreal.
Jacques's decendants through the years have used the Beauvais Variations of Bovie and Bovee. My wife's side through the years have used Bovat or sometimes Bovate. These variations do make it interesting in trying to track the family.

Fran
