Hi Carl - Nice to know that you are also descended from the historically famous Robert de Beaumont and his wife Elizabeth de Vermandois. As you probably know, Robert was well-written up as being in the forefront of the action at the Battle of Hastings in 1066, while still a youth. And Elizabeth's ancestry traces back through French royalty to Charlemagne. And Elizabeth's famous love affair with her (future) 2nd husband, William de Warenne, while still married to Robert de Beaumont, is well recorded. I am a descendant of both Robert & Elizabeth AND Elizabeth & William de Warenne, whose father, ironically enough, was a comrade-in-arms of Robert's at the Battle of Hastings! I am very forunate to be descended from two of their descendants who came to America in the early 17th century, Richard More (ship Mayflower 1620) and Rev. Wm. Skepper (late 1630s). Both persons have been proven to have royal and historic ancestry from Britain (and elsewhere)- and their ancestral lines are a treasure-trove of royal and historic persons of the Middle Ages. I have much narrative information based on extensive research on the lives of Robert & Elizabeth (and possibly others that relate to them) if I may send an attachment about their lives and some of their descendant families to your personal e-mail address. Let me know. Regards Alton Rogers Notify Administrator about this message?
