I have come to the (unproven) conclusion that John Augustus Beaumont had two families.The first four children with Elizabeth Shinkwin, the last one born in May 1845 and then he disappears forever from that family. However in August 1845 John Augustus Beaumont marries Caroline Judd and they have 9 children. I don't think he ever married Elizabeth Shinkwin, because even though she appears in all the census' as Elizabeth Beaumont, she actually dies in her maiden name.
My John Augustus has a son of the same name and that son marries Emily Beaumont Bacon in Rochampton in 1859, and one of the witnesses is Clarence or Clarissa (difficult to read) Judd. Mary
