I have no specifics about your ancestor, but I am also a Diers descendant.

Jean Diers (also seen as Dihars) married Madeleine Saux around 1686 in Plaisance (now Placentia), Newfoundland. They had a son named Pierre.

Jean Diers must have died soon after his marriage, because Madeleine then married Claude Thomas dit Beaulieu around 1689, also in Plaisance (according to the Dictionnaire genealogique des familles acadiennes, they were listed in Plaisance Census in 1691, 1693, and 1694).

Pierre Diers married Charlotte Mond(a)in January 8th 1714 in Quebec City.
