Do you know what year Joseph and Josephine were buried in Crookston? What year did they get to Crookston? How many Gervaises are buried in Crookston? This is exciting! Thank you. You may have broken my 23 year search. That family wound up beinning the town of Havre, Montana later. Busy family, but they did not leave their names in any local history books. The name was changed to Jarvis some time during Eli's life time. I have reason to believe it was when all the French help James J. Hill with his Great Northern Railroad. Alexander Jarvis was born in Argyle and his brother was born in Crookston.
