Some Mirault, originating from Acadia, settled in a fair number from 1776 with other Acadians in St-Jacques de l'Achigan, to the point it was called the " Little Acadie".
But there is more than one Mireau coming to New-France.
Moreau, we also have Moro, Morrow , Moreault.

In checking names of first arrivals, it is most probable that Moreau and Mireau were from different part of France.
