Hi Gerry and Raymond,
I will try to look for your mentionned review at our local gen society, but not sure if they have those old ones.
I have in a Drouin genealogy prepared in 1938 for my uncle a three pages ( all french) biography of Toussaint my ancestor. If you so need it I will translate it for you, but not the four pages marriage contract with Barbe Barbier.
I could also add a few other facts from various Newspaper clippings etc.
There is also a colour heraldic picture with all the explanations, but I still have my doubts about Drouin.
Also for you to note, the ancestor Pierre Payet, was made prisonner of the Iroquois during a battle at Pointe-aux-Trembles for three years. No word why he was released.!!
Finally one of my daughter went to see a painting exhibition at the Beaudry's historic house in Pointe aux Trembles. The setting is beautiful, but it is not the original house Toussaint built. I should stop by on my next trip to Montréal as it not out of my way.I will follow with my own impressions.
Des.
