my Great Grandfathers father was named Charles Beaudry

I am looking for information on my Great Grandfather Joseph's Beaudry's parents. My GGrandfather was born March 2, 1862. Joseph's parents were Charles and Lizzie McDonald. Joseph had 2 brothers older? and a sister Sara. Joseph's wedding certificate says he was born in Quebec. Is French, and protestant. He left home at the age of 12 or 15 after his mother died and his father remarried a Catholic. He then went to Arnprior to work for a couple of years, then moved to Man.The 1901 census says he was born in Ont. The saying is up the Ottawa Valley, and also the Gatineau.
This is the story I have been told. So I hope someone can match my story.
