Marlene, I am in the exact situation you are! I descend from Sabird Overton Beauchamp, brother of your Melinda, and I have been trying to prove him the son of William for about 20 years! Yes, we all have the same list of children, passed from one Beauchamp researcher to another without documentation. I gave up on Beauchamp for DAR and went on to another patriot, but one of my goals is to SOME DAY prove who Sabird's father was. William, as you probably know, is in the patriot index but through the oldest daughter Rhoda who married a Sharp. I keep hoping someone somewhere will come up with a family bible or other proof for Sabird. William's will only includes his "younger set of children" with third wife Sarah. Maybe someone will see our messages and enlighten us.....
