I thought this John was the brother to Edmund/Edward... If Edmund and Edward are the same person and after John's death "Edward" took over the land and sold them... then "Edmund" goes to MD from invite of Calvert... I haven't got my copy of Debrett's 2005 yet and need to take a closer look... According to DNA of a MD descendant they have the same DNA found in VA by the surnames of Cooke/Terry/Williams/ and Boatwright... who these surnames were neighbors in New Kent County...but after John and Edmund/Edward was there... and very rare markers at 391, 385a, and 385b which are 12,10,12... so far only 2% of males tested have these markers in this order...we need more Beauchamp/Beacham to test for those who descend from Cosgrove...
