Correction to Post #2530: Mystery of "Adelade Jordan" is Solved
Posted by: Philip K. Kromer (ID *****2798) Date: June 09, 2007 at 14:36:54

Dear Beauchamp Researchers:

We recently discovered that the "Adelade Jordan" discussed in Post #2530 is definitely a DIFFERENT PERSON than Adelaide N. Youlon.

Adelade Augusta "Addie" Jordan ( born on June 5, 1841 at Saco, York County, Maine ) was the daughter of George Vaughan Jordan ( born on May 7, 1811 ) and Sarah Ann Scamman ( born on Nov. 9, 1812 ). She married a man named Charles H. Adams on Feb. 24, 1862 at Saco, York County, Maine, but he was a DIFFERENT Charles H. Adams than the father of Juliette E. "Julia" Adams. We have not been able to determine, yet, exactly who the Charles H. Adams was who married Adelade Augusta "Addie" Jordan.

We apologize for causing confusion over this particular issue.

Sincerely, Philip K. Kromer
