I could not find that reference to George Waddell in her submissions using the search feature. That did, however send me deeper in the "Waddell direction," and I have discovered that Dr. Moses Waddel was a well-known Presbyterian minister and educator who served from 1820-1829 as president of Franklin College (University of Georgia). He previously served churches in SC and he was influential in the Associate Reformed Presbyterian denomination. I'm wondering if that may be the more likely source of the name. The date I have for Moses Waddell Beaty's birth is 1828, so that could work as well. My guess, of course, is that George Waddell is a member of the same family as Moses.
