My mother has in her possession a hymnal belonging to Reverend John J. Beaty. He and his 2nd wife, Lavina Owens, had a daughter, Lucina. She married William Pomeroy. Their son, Robert (married Louisa Beaty) had a daughter, Myrtle. Myrtle was my great grandmother. I would be very interested in learning more about John Beaty. Is it true he was a circuit rider?
