My family tree has a Beatty branch but there is little information.
My grandmother was Ruth Beatty (1892-1982) died in Anamosa, Iowa lived most of her life in Epworth, Dubuque county, Iowa.
Had one brother Fred Beatty, Epworth, Iowa
3 sister, Iva Lou, Idel, and Grace. all married Woodhouses.
What I have been given My Great Grandfather was John South Beatty He married Ella Lou Skinner. I have been told that John and Ella died while on a wagon train and the children were very young. They were adopted or lived with another family in Iowa. At this time that family name is unknown.
Are these people old enough to travel by wagon train??
