Re: John or Francis Beatty early 1700's. My husband, Ray Von Beatty, Jr, had a great-grandfather, John Beatty, from Lincoln Co. Think this is perhaps the same John Beatty you are talking about. My father-in-law did a lot of research on the Beattys. John Beatty's grave is close to Terrell, NC. Think John had a brother Francis and Thomas, and several sisters. Beatties Ford Road in Charlotte is supposed to be named after John Beatty.
