Beattys of Western PA

I'm looking for info on my grandfather- John David Beatty from Washington Co. PA. area. He was born around the turn of the century and died in the 70s. There is no SSDI on him because he retired from the rail road. He married Hilda Shoemaker. He had 4 boys and 2 daughters- William, Howard, Dalton, George, Emily and Norma. I have just begun. I will interview family members and update. Family legend has it that 3 brothers (?Jim, John and George?) came from Ulster during the potato famine, arriving in Philadelphia. One went south towards NC, one went west, and my (great, or great great?) granfather settled in Western PA. Any leads would be greatly appreciated. I have old picture and plan to contact my Aunt Norma this week. Thanks
