John d. 1854 and Martha Tarburton d. 1865 Beatty were born in the "old North State", NC? They went to Madison Cty TN and were farmers. They had 10 children. The 7th child was Wesley Taylor, later known as W.T. He is my 3grandfather. He m. Nancy Ann Williford in Madison Cty, TN 1869. She died 10-1-1880 in Columbus, KY. They had 2 children Wyatt Jefferson and Martha Ada (my 2grandmother). In Nov. 1883 he remarried in Harrisburg, AR to Cynthia Ann Maynard. No known children.

I have lots more info on W.T. He was quite a man. A civil war vet and successful Arkansas businessman if anyone would like it email me.

I would like to find out more on John and Martha. Including birth dates and John's parents and where they are buried. I would very much like to know the other 9 children of this union and meet some cousins. I also need to know where W.T. is buried and when he died as his biography was writen prior to his death.

Any help or connections out there? One more thing. The families name was initially spelled Betty. This shows in the family Bible and the A was added later. I suspect John may have used the BETTY spelling in his early years.
