Searching for Thomas Beaty (born 1807 in SC) and his wife Roxie A. Bell (also born SC). His father was also a Thomas Beaty (born about 1780 in SC). Thoas Jr.'s siblings were John W., Larkin M., Lewellyn O., Mary Jane, Sarah Elizabeth, Charlotte Letitha, and Susan Amanda. Some of the family left Abbeville Co., SC for Fayette or Pickens Co., AL in the 1830's. They then went to Union Parish, LA in 1840 and on to Union Co., AR in 1850 and later Columbia, Ouachita, Conway and Pike counties.
Thomas Jr. and Roxie left for Van Zandt Co., TX by 1852 or so. Both of them died by 1855 leaving some orphaned minor children who were taken into the family of John W. Chrestman. They had the following 12 children: William W., Joseph K, Polly Ann, Sarah E., Caroline E., Deborah Vashti, Susan, Charlotte Telitha, Thomas J., Roxanna, Julia Savannah, and Lucinda.
