I am researching brothers John Beatty (c1811-1881) and William Beatty (c1820-1879). They were sons of William Beatty and Jane (Jeffers) of Cordressigo, Clones, County Monaghan, Ireland, and emigrated to Melbourne in 1840 per 'Himalaya'. John had married Sarah Ann Dawson, c1836 in Co. Monaghan, and they eventually settled at Portarlington. William married 1849 at Geelong to Emily Saunders and they settled at Snake Valley.
