Fremont L. & Lillie E. Beatty of Cherryvale, Kansas

I am looking for any information on Fremont L. Beatty and Lillie E. Beatty, who lived in Cherryvale, Kansas for years. They show on the 1930 census but the info stops there. They are my 2nd Great-Grandparents. Their son Harry E. Beatty was my Great-Grandfather. I thought to contact KS for a death certificate but they want the date of death and I don't know it. I guess my next step would be to go to the KS Historical Society and look through the Cherryvale newspapers from 1930-1940+. They had 4 boys, Harry, Ralph, Irvin & Herbert. Fremont was born Oct. 1864 in Illinois. I don't know Lillie's maiden name but she was born Dec. 1870 in Illinois. Any information you might have would be wonderful!! Thanks!
