I've recently found a petition on the internet sent to the then-North Carolina capital (New Bern, I think) to give Presbyterian ministers the right to perform marriages. John Beatty was one of the undersigners. This was part of a collection of documents that a Beatty descendant or descendants has published on the internet and which I've found very helpful. Unfortunately, my computer crashed a couple of weeks ago and I lost all my traces of this website. Could someone help me with this problem. It would be greatly appreciated.
