will for Claudius Beatty in Coolaherty, Co. Longford 1729.
This is from the LDS Film # 100940
.............................
I am not sure if members of this Beatty family may have emigrated in the early 1700s in the "Clinton party" to America. Others were McDowells.
........................
There is a Jane Holmes m. Peter Beatty of Claharty, co Longford in my Adair's lineage and I wondered if members of this Beatty family emigrated :

FHL film 0100153 Sadleir MS576, p.110
Lineage of :
Peter Holmes of St. Marys Lane, Oxmantown, Dublin, (Ireland)
Sovereign of Naas 1673, d. 1675, m. Bridget Usher, dau of Robert Usher of Crumlin co. Dublin.
In the chart was :
Dorcas Adair, dau. of Robert Adair (of co. Longford, co. Wicklow and co. Dublin, Ireland) m. Galbraith Holmes, b. 1706, d. 1763
(High Sheriff of co. Longford 1731, and Cavan 1737, M.P. for Bahagher) of Ballyloughlin, co. Longford (Ireland).
Galbraith & Dorcas Holmes had children :
1. George Holmes of Castle Holmes, of Ballinlough,
...High Sheriff of Longford 1738.
2. Robert Holmes
3. Galbraigh (d. 16 Aug 1767 ?)
4. Jane Holmes m. Peter Beatty of Claharty, co Longford.
................
This Holmes family is mentioned in the AD1783 will of Forster Adair who was brother of Dorcas Adair (Holmes).

COUNTY LONGFORD, Ireland.
"I leave to my nephew Robert Holmes my estate of Saint Johnstown forever, now let to Mr. Levi (?) at six pounds yearly."
This may have been land granted to Lt. Andrew Adaire about 1659 as one of the "forty-niners". Andrew Adaire had son, Charles Adair who m. Eleanore Cooke of Cookesborough,
and their land was on FHL film 0100881, Record of the Rolls by John Lodge.
Vol. 8, Acts of Grace. Adair p.314.
Lands, Barony Ardagh, co. Longford.

The AD1659 census of co. Longford, Ireland, listed
Andrew Adaire, Corporation of St Johnstown, now Ballinalea, Clonbroney Parish. (Barony of Granard ?)
............................
Perhaps there is more on the Beatty family in
FHL film 0100881
Records of the Rolls, by John Lodge. (c.1684)
Vol. 8. Acts of Grace
