This is the complete enumeration for Daniel Beatty and his wife, Nancy McKenney, who were married in Gallatin County, Kentucky in 1818: 1850 Census – District No. 7, Boone County, Indiana; 20 Aug 1850 692/703 Daniel H. Baty [sic] - 53 yo - [b. 1797] Mail Carrier - $425 - b. KY Nancy Baty - 53 yo - [b. 1797] - b. VA cannot read & write Sarah Baty - 24 yo - [b. 1826] - b. KY William Baty - 22 yo - [b. 1828] farmer - b. KY John W. Baty - 18 yo - [b. 1832] farmer - b. Ind. Newall Batty - 15 yo - [b. 1835] farmer - b. Ind. Martha G. [?] Baty - 11 yo - [b. 1839] - b. Ind. Daniel Baty - 10 yo - [b. 1840] - b. Ind. Serepla [?] Baty - 4 yo - [b. 1836] - b. Ind. George Baty - 2 yo - [b. 1838] - b. Ind Rebecca Strahan - 27 yo - [b. 1823] - b. KY Since Nancy Beatty would have been 49 yo and 51 yo respectively when the two youngest children, Serepla and George, were born, I would guess that the children might be grandchildren of Daniel and Nancy – and not their children. I would also imagine that since this couple married in 1818 and that the oldest 'child' enumerated in the household was b. 1826, that there were probably other children born between 1818 and 1826 who had already left the household. After this census, I can find NO trace of anyone in this family! I hope that someone can help me! Thank you. Notify Administrator about this message?
