Janetta, I have little info, but here it is. James Beatty/Beattie was born 1851 in Galt, Ontario. His mother was Mary Ann (nee Sargent). His father was surnamed Beatty, but his first name is unknown yet. James' father must have died early in his marriage to Mary Ann as she is listed as a widow when she re-married to Joseph Cawthra in 1858 (only 7 years later). James had no FULL siblings, however, his mother had 7 other children by her second husband, Joseph Cawthra. Therefore James had several half-siblings. It is believed that James Beatty died at about age 60 somewhere in Ontario. I have no record as to whether he married or had children. Looking for any information at all. Do you see any connection?
