Wm. Beatty: No. Ireland - U.S. Virgin Is

William Beatty (my maternal grandfather), b. 1850's, Enniskillen, Fermanagh Co., Northern Ireland; emigrated to St. Croix, (what is now U.S.) Virgin Islands; married native of mixed blood - Alice Evelyn Biscomb (sp?), 11 children; d. 1930's, St. Croix.

Would like info on family origins. Supposedly a brother left Ireland and settled in Pennsylvania. Was this one of those Scottish families sent by the British to settle Ireland?
