An update: have not received anything confirming a Beaty or Tupp connection to Betsey and John Brogdon of Marion County, but believe I have found Betsey Brogdon on the 1900 census in Robeson County, NC. She is identified as "mother" in the household of Bias Hunt, next door to John and Angeline Brogdon, two of Betsey's children with John. Their names were misspelled as "Broglin" on the census. Still hoping for info regarding a Beaty/Tupp/Brogdon connection.
