Margaret was the granddaughter of Irish immigrant John Gilley 1690-1813

John attempted to find his fortune in the California Gold Rush - he didn't.

George Riley Beattie, 1857 Ohio to 1947 Michigan
m. 1887 to Ella Malissa Hershey, 1861 Ohio to 1947 Michigan
George went to live with a Hershey family in his late teens and married their niece. He was a fruit farmer in Michigan; she taught music.
