Information from "Early settlers of Barbour county Al. Vol.2 by Godfray states that a James Beasley died here ca 1836/7 - his wife may have been Elizabeth ______? Administrators were F.W. Pugh(in 1837), Elizabeth Beasley and Joshua Lister (in 1836) and John C. and William Beasley (in 1849). Heirs of this estate were: 1. John C. Beasley 2.Francis Green Beasley 3.Elefar Beasley 4.Jane Beasley The last three were minors and half-brothers and sisters of John C. Beasley. They and their mother moved to Texas, probably before 1840. You may already have this info. If not I hope this helps. I'm searching for info.on Asa Beasley of Barbour co. Al. He may have died in the Civil War. V. Dickert
