I am so sorry. I reread my note and I did get it all mixed up. Sophie Burns was Daniel's second wife, not Thomas Jr.'s. It looks like you are related to two different Daniel Bearys. Daniel H. Beary would be your great great grandfather. The other Daniel Beary was a son born to Daniel H. and Sophie Burns. This Daniel would be your great grandfather Thomas' half brother, therefore making him your great great uncle. Ok, now I think I understand. It will be great for you to talk to your family this holidays to clear some of this up. Let me recap so you can present the information to them:

Married Bridget Hayden and had 14 children, 11 of
which outlived them.

Married first to Margaret Coffee
Thomas Beary was born of this union
Married second to Sophia Burns
Daniel was born of this union making him a half-
brother to Thomas Sr.

Married Marie Louise Halahan
Thomas Jr. and Marie Louise born of this union
Thomas Beary Jr.

Now your great great uncle Daniel had brothers and sisters. Anne, Charles, Margaret, Mary, and William. My information also says that Daniel married twice, but I don't know to whom. Anne married Percy Billington and had two children, Robert and Claire. Charles and Margaret were not married. Mary married Wayne Alphin and had no children. William married, but I don't know to whom and had two children, names unknown.
I got an e-mail from your brother. He mentioned about a friend that does genealogy and also an aunt that has done some work on the Bearys. I told my mother about this and she was very excited. My line of decent is from Daniel H. Beary's older brother, Thomas Beary. He came to Louisiana in the 1870's and married Laura Swartenbrock. My grandfather, Andrew Thomas Beary was born of this union. Andrew Thomas married Marie Coignet, my grandmother. They had 4 children. My mother Laura Marie is the oldest. She married my father William Lester Dossey. I am the oldest of 5 children.
