I notice that the 1907 work is in large part a reprinting of the 1847 book "A history of the Episcopal church in Narragansett, Rhode Island, including a history of other Episcopal churches in the state, by Wilkins Updike. With an appendix containing a reprint of a work now extremely rare, entitled: America dissected by the Rev. James MacSparran, with notes containing genealogical and biographical accounts of distinguished men, families, etc."

The 1907 version was "2d ed., newly edited, enlarged, and corrected by the Reverend Daniel Goodwin. Illustrated by fifty portraits after old paintings; together with six views of historic localities, and several facsimiles." This came years after Updike's death in 1867.

The full 1847 edition is available - scanned in and indexed - on Ancestry.com. I skimmed through and searched using the index. The text that you transcribed up to the "Descendants of Tashtassuck" is straight from the introduction of 1847 edition. The rest is not included.

The 1907 version is a three-volume set which Google has scanned in and made available on-line, except that they seem to have missed Volume 2, which contains the material you quote.

By "Munsell's Encyclopedia", do you mean "Index to American Genealogies" published by Joel Munsell's Sons? Google has digitized the 5th edition (1900) of that work and it's available on line.
