Wow, I never thought I would find so much on my ancestors here and so much confusion. This is the information I have from records my grandmother left. Augustine Bearss came to Mass from the Parish Longstock Hampshire on the ship Confidence and took a wife Mary Hyanno, daughter of 'John' Highyannough, Son of Massasoit. They had eight daughters, Mary, Martha, Priscilla, Sarah, Abigail, Hannah, Lydia, and Rebecca, and three sons, Joseph, Hester and James. I do not have a birth date for Mary but what I have for Augustine is 1618 and married in 1639. Along the line there were many Bearsses and married to Taylors, Baldwins, Sissels, Booths, Sommervilles, and many, many more. I would love to learn more about this family, so if you have more info please let me know. Thanks.
