Denny, thank you for responding. I hope that you are able to verify that the "copper" came from the Bearse/Hamblin line, as I am also descended from Sarah Bearse and John Hamblen, through their daughter Esther who married her cousin Jonathan. Wonder how many ways there are to spell Hamblin? I have seen Hamblin, Hamblen, Hamlin, Hamlen, Hamelin, and Hamelyn . . . so far. Please post another msg if you should learn any more! Les
