In search of predecessors to Daniel Beard. He was born in c. 1837 in Bedford County, PA. He was a brick mason. Married Catherine. Enlisted in Union army in 8/1862 (138th PA Infantry) as Srgt. Co. E. Mustered out in 6/1865. Came to Baltimore c. 1870. Was in charge of building for B&O RR. Died 1899 in Balto. Need information about parents who supposedly came from MD?
