My interest was Pearl Jane Beard who married William Loren Smith. I believe her father's name was Charles Wesley Beard, not Hiram.
If you take a look at Maggie's obit:

Tipton--Funeral services for Mrs Marie Beard Roe will be Saturday with burial in the Fairview Cemetery. Born June 18, 1898, in Kempton, she was the daughter of Charles W. and Dora (Bitner) Beard. On Nov. 17, 1920 in Tipton, she was married to John T. Roe who survives.
