I'm sorry, I don't have any information on Dorcus. All I had was a note that she had disappeared when she was 17 or 18. If she disappeared at that age, she disappeared before her mother died, sometime about 1850. Rachel died in 1854 and she is buried in the West Mills Cemetery in Somerset County, Maine. I don't think they would ship her back to Maine to be buried. That would be very expensive and she would not be buried with the rest of her family when they died. If you know for sure when they moved to Wisconsin, pleasr let me know. I have never really seached for Dorcus. I was assuming that something really bad happened to her. I guess I was looking at her disappearce as I would on a disappeance today. I will start looking for her.
