Here's a comment I found in a GEDCOM I picked up on him:

Gideon moved to Barrington NS in 1769. He later became a large land owner by purchase and taking over forfeited land grants.

married Aug.30,1764

The Nickerson Family vol. 1 by The Nickerson Family Association in Chatham, Massachusetts.
